About Me

Hello! My name is Colette (they/them). I am a non-binary, queer therapist and avid animal lover living in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC.

I specialize in working with queer, trans, and neurodivergent individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, religious trauma, attachment wounds, PTSD, and more. With a background in domestic violence and crisis intervention, I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where you can show up as your full, authentic self while exploring what’s working in your life—and what you may want to change.

As an LCSW, I understand that mental health is shaped by genetics, relationships, lived experiences, environments, and broader systems (family, race, gender, class, politics). I also believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support you by building on your strengths, passions, and values, creating a space where you can connect with your emotions without shame.

I integrate psychoeducation with evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Together, we’ll develop practical skills and deeper insight to reduce suffering and improve your quality of life. By fostering curiosity and compassion, therapy becomes a place to clarify what you truly want and begin taking meaningful steps toward it.

As a harm reduction–oriented therapist, I prioritize a nonjudgmental, stigma-free environment where you can openly discuss what feels stuck or difficult. I have experience supporting clients with suicidal ideation and self-harm, and I approach these experiences with care, honesty, and respect. Through an intersectional and compassionate lens, I help clients deepen self-trust, self-respect, and a sense of inherent worth.

I live and love with my wife, our two pups (Lily and Marshmello) and cat (Echo) in West Asheville, NC. Outside of work, you’ll likely find me by the creek, tending to houseplants, practicing yoga, painting, gardening, or enjoying news comedy. Being an LCSW is a deep honor, and I prioritize my own self-care so I can show up fully and sustainably for my clients.
